Laura Kightlinger stands out as a true original in the world of comedy. Laura brought her unique vision to her IFC series THE MINOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF JACKIE WOODMAN she created and starred for two seasons on IFC. Kightlinger was a consulting producer for the entire run of "Will and Grace", where she also had a recurring role as “Nurse Sheila”. Laura was a series regular on LUCKY LOUIS, a writer for NICK SWARDSON’S PRETEND TIME, and is currently writing on the new CBS series S##T MY DAD SAYS, starring William Shatner.

Her first book, entitled "Quick Shots of False Hope", was described by the New York Times Book Review as a "memorable, disturbing and darkly comic debut." She is currently writing a follow up book.

Laura's unique talent has landed her film roles in "Run Ronnie Run" (with David Cross), "Pootie Tang" (starring Chris Rock), the Farrelly Brothers' "Shallow Hal", "Melvin Goes to Dinner", directed by Bob Odenkirk and the Eddie Murphy film, "Daddy Daycare". Kightlinger is an accomplished director; her first documentary is entitled "Sixty Spins Around the Sun", chronicling the New York City street movement to repeal the Rockefeller Drug Laws. Laura wrote and directed the shorts “American Heroine”, in which she also starred, and “Roy Fabcock” for Atom.com. Laura also garnered the Director's Award at the Black Maria Film Festival for a short film she wrote and starred in called "Dependable People".

In addition to the above, Kightlinger has written for "Roseanne", "Dennis Miller Live" and "Saturday Night Live", where she was also a featured performer. Laura was a cast member of Roseanne's sketch comedy series "Saturday Night Special" on Fox. As a stand up, Laura has been featured in two HBO specials and six Comedy Central Specials.
