About

Following a five-year residency at The Other Side in York, Dan Atkinson debuted at the Edinburgh Festival as part of the 2006 Comedy Zone. Dan returned to Edinburgh in 2007 with his debut solo show Dan Atkinson Knows That He Knows Nothing; a show which reeled audiences in, proving to be one of the most successful debut shows of the fringe. Dan went on to perform on the Edinburgh and Beyond 2007 live tour and has made a number of TV appearances including the Channel 4 series Law of the Playground and BBC Three's Bodyhits series. Most recently for television Dan has worked as Programme Associate on two series of Russell Howard’s Good News for BBC3.

After returning to Edinburgh with a second acclaimed solo show ‘The Credit Crunch and Other Biscuits’ Dan embarked on the 2008 Edinburgh and Beyond national live tour as the show’s compere; returning to Edinburgh in 2009 with a brand new solo show ‘Death By A Thousand Pricks’.

Dan is also a highly sought after TV warm up act, most recently having provided warm up for Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Bremner, Bird and Fortune.
