Following the critical success of his first national tour, double if.comedy Award-nominee RUSSELL KANE will return to the road for the second time this year with his brand new stand-up show Human Dressage. Known for his acclaimed appearance on the last series of BBC ONE’s flagship live comedy show Live at the Apollo alongside AL MURRAY and as guest-host of Channel 4’s Big Brother’s Big Mouth, RUSSELL will perform at theatres up and down the country, including London’s Bloomsbury Theatre.
Today’s news sees RUSSELL return to venues up and down the country only six months after his completing his last national tour and cements a busy 2009 for the stand-up, writer and performer. RUSSELL recently returned from a nine week national tour of Australia, which included a full run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and is set to return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August with both his solo stand-up show Human Dressage and his brand new Fakespeare two-hander, The Tragickal Saveings of King Nigel. As well as Live at the Apollo and the spring national tour, the last year has also seen RUSSELL: receive a second if.comedy Award nomination for his third sell-out Edinburgh show; perform Fakespeare, by special invitation from the RSC, at Stratford-upon-Avon; and host series 5 and 6 of Out To Lunch, BBC Radio 2’s Saturday lunchtime comedy show.

What the press has said about Russell Kane:
One of the finest young performers around. His energy is boundless and luckily this is matched by this bendy man's exquisite comedic abilities.
Tim Arthur, Time Out
He wears his erudition lightly, but unashamedly. He's also a wonderfully animated comic, whose delivery chops between observation and goofy role-play.
Brian Logan, The Guardian
Chipper cultural cuts and a keen eye for the absurd from a deserved if.comedy shortlistee. Russell Kane toes the isn’t-England-rubbish-but-brilliant line and carries it off with a swagger.
Warren Howard, ‘Information’ The Independent
