Eight out of every ten married women in Britain will become a widow, but all of them feel as though they are going through the experience alone. This touching film gives an insight into a subject that’s often overlooked, focusing on the very different stories of women from varying backgrounds as they recount their own personal journeys.

In this one-of documentary six widows - ANNA FORD, JOAN RIVERS, ALEX BEST, columnist KATHARINE WHITEHORN, SALLY BANKS (widow of TONY BANKS) and JAYNE ZITO, whose husband’s tragic murder was front page news in 1992 - speak with extraordinary candour about their experiences of bereavement.
